GOAL2WORK for Companies

GOAL2WORK for Companies

The GOAL2WORK Jobseekers Toolkit is not only for the individual but can be tailored to suit your company's unique needs.

Corporates

Learnerships and Skills Programmes

Most job seekers are more work- ready once they have graduated from a Learnership or Skills Programme, however most Learnerships do not guarantee a job afterwards, leaving learners without the skills necessary to secure formal employment. The GOAL2WORK Jobseekers Toolkit provides an effective link between work- readiness and securing meaningful employment.

Retrenchments

When restructuring or downsizing retrenchment may become necessary, many organisations in this situation wish to offer affected staff assistance through the difficult process of transitioning to new jobs, the GOAL2WORK programme is an ideal initiative  for such instances.

Corporate Social Investment Initiatives

There are vast numbers of CSI programmes and initiatives aimed at skills development and job creation but no link between the two, so what comes next is that job seekers use superficial job seeking methods and then wait for something to happen. GOAL2WORK is a unifying intervention to integrate and direct job search action and resources, offering a clearly defined course of action to secure viable employment.

Universities/ Institutions of Higher Learning

All universities provide some work seeking advice for students and graduates; in many instances this is limited to covering superficial job search methods. While this may be useful for students it does not offer more than what most unsuccessful job seekers already do. The GOAL2WORK Jobseekers Toolkit is a comprehensive job search programme which takes learners step by step through the modules and practical activities that lead to job search success. Job seekers are guided through an integrated holistic job search focused on the strategies and best practices which ultimately culminate in viable employment.

Schools

Life Orientation is included in the curriculum of most schools and many of the topics covered in this subject relate to preparing learners for emancipation.  In some schools how to find a job is one of the Life Orientation topics dealt with, however finding and securing meaningful employment is one of the most important skills to master in readiness for entering the job market and needs taught in a more integrated and  holistic manner.  The GOAL2WORK Programme is designed specifically to take learners step by step through the modules and practical activities that lead to a deep understanding of an individual’s ideal career choice and how to focus on the strategies and best practices which ultimately culminate in viable employment. Designed by industry specialists and highly experienced educationalist GOAL2WORK is offered in formats ideally suited for school application.

NGO’s and Community Work Groups

Vast numbers of NGO’s and Community Work Groups are involved in dealing with the crisis of unemployment and the effect of long term joblessness. Multigenerational unemployment means that the youth have no role models or mentors with experience in successful job search and soon exhaust their limited repertoire of job search activities. The GOAL2WORK Jobseekers Toolkit bridges this gap by providing a unifying intervention to integrate and direct job search action and resources, offering a clearly defined course of action to secure viable employment. Job seekers are guided through an integrated holistic job search focused on the strategies and best practices which ultimately culminate in viable employment, a co-ordinated, systematic method of job hunting utilising job search tools and methods that are not normally considered.

The GOAL2WORK programme is offered in several formats from self-study to community worker led training and is developed to be made available for individuals with limited access to internet resources.
